Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating regimen that cycles between periods of fasting and eating.
It does not tell you what foods you should eat, but rather when you should eat them.
In this respect, it is not a diet in the conventional sense of the word, but can more accurately be described as an eating regimen.
Conventional methods of intermittent fasting include a daily 16-hour fast or a 24-hour fast twice a week.
